Project Manager

AES is looking for an experienced Project Manager with the ambition and drive to support our field installations. The ideal individual will possess the right balance of design, engineering, project management skills, and leadership qualities to successfully manage projects from installation through startup, troubleshooting, and punch list. He/She/They will collaborate with AES team members and have direct interaction with customers, vendors, and contractors in the course of their duties.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of project installations in the field. You will work closely with sales, engineering and production team members to successfully take projects from the point of sale through installation and commissioning, with post-installation customer support when required. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage several projects of varying complexities at different stages. projects will be long term, spanning a few months to install, while others will be performed in a week or less.

Skills & Abilities

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Manage AES Projects- Turnkey, design/build through commissioning, primarily in industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Support field work on all projects.
  • Conduct site visits to perform take offs and scope reviews with customer.
  • Prepare price estimates for sales quotes.
  • Specify jobsite materials and labor for each project and manage deliveries.
  • Interface directly with customer and vendors during the project life cycle.
  • Provides and conveys project information and documentation to stakeholders.
  • Submission of paperwork, including time sheets, purchase orders, expense receipts and invoice approval/adjustment.
  • Additional related tasks and duties, as may be required.

 

Skills, Education and Training:

  • Minimum 2 years Mechanical Contracting experience preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of related Project Management experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent. Relevant apprenticeship and two-year trade school degree a plus.
  • Professional project management skills
  • Computer literate, with competent skills in MS Office suite
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Solid mechanical reasoning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within a customer or vendor.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team with little to no supervision.
  • A current driver’s license is required with a good driving record of insurable quality.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time including overnight travel. Ability to be reachable 24/7 in the event of emergencies.

Field Service Technician

Advanced Equipment Sales (AES) is looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, refurbish, and service our industrial recycling equipment and systems at our customers’ facilities. System components include balers, shredders, conveyors, material handling fans, and dust collectors. Each system we install is custom designed for the client’s application. Field Service Technician work requires the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems in the field and effect repairs.

What you’ll need for this position

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Previous experience repairing heavy machinery is helpful but not necessary
  • A current valid driver’s license with a good driving record of insurable quality required
  • Ability to travel to job sites a minimum of 75% of the time (primarily within the East Coast)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work overtime (OT), including some weekends as needed

Entry Level Field Service Technician

What you’ll need for this position

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills are helpful
  • Experience working on heavy machinery is helpful but not necessary
  • Ability and desire to learn and develop your skills in maintaining machines, reading blueprints, welding, and working with PLCs
  • A current valid driver’s license with good driving record of insurable quality required
  • Ability to travel to job sites a minimum of 75% of the time (primarily within the East Coast)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work overtime (OT), including some weekends as needed
