Jobsite Foreman, Sheet Metal Installation

AES is seeking an experienced and motivated jobsite foreman to install industrial recycling equipment and systems at design/build projects throughout the US. The work involves pneumatic piping systems that move air and material for various applications. Integrated equipment includes balers, shredders, material handling fans, dust collectors, and conveyors. The Foreman will supervise field crews including riggers, millwrights, and service technicians, ensuring quality work and proper jobsite safety protocols. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a steady and calm demeanor, and be able to represent the company with professionalism at all times. This position requires local, regional, and national travel.

 

Skills & Abilities

 

What You’ll Need for This Position:

  • High School, GED, and/or trade school or apprenticeship
  • Minimum 3 years experience in industrial field work (pipefitting, sheet metal mechanic or industrial or commercial HVAC)
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills, including assembly, rigging, and welding
  •  Hydraulics are a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Strong communications skills, ability to mentor and train employees.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record of insurable quality
  • Willingness to travel to job sites (minimum of 75% of the time), and stay for the duration of the project (typically 1 to 4 weeks)
  • Ability to work overtime (OT), including some weekends as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and project specifications
  • Layout, install, and troubleshoot pneumatic conveyance system and equipment components
  • Supervise and work alongside field crews to install pneumatic conveyance systems and integrate equipment components (Balers, shredders, material handling fans, etc.)
  • Plan and organize the workday for field crews and provide leadership and mentoring
  • Coordinate onsite work with project owner and subcontractors
  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times and conduct daily safety and tool talk meetings with field crews
  • Employ excellent communication skills and represent the company with professionalism at all times
  • Ensure the project is installed, tested, and commissioned accurately, safely, on time and on budget

Field Supervisor

Entry Level Field Service Technician

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills are helpful
  • Experience working on heavy machinery is helpful but not necessary
  • Ability and desire to learn and develop your skills in maintaining machines, reading blueprints, welding, and working with PLCs
  • A current valid driver’s license with good driving record of insurable quality required
  • Ability to travel to job sites a minimum of 75% of the time (primarily within the East Coast)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work overtime (OT), including some weekends as needed
